Michigan Staffys
HOME OF THE STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER

Hi, my name is Jennifer.  My husband Scott and I own and operate Michigan Staffys. It has given us
great pleasure placing dogs into great homes.   We are located in Southeast Michigan.  As children
my husband and I always had dogs in our homes, so when we moved into our first home (1992), we
purchased our first terrier. We have been breeding now since 1996.  We adore the Staffordshire Bull
Terriers! Their height, weight, personality and exceptional behavior with children truly make them
the perfect all around breed.  Once you own a Staffy you never want for any other breed.  We love
dogs of all breeds, but the Staffordshire Bull Terrier holds a special place in our hearts.   All our dogs
are Champion sired except for Diesel, but if you look at his pedigree it is amazing.  We believe
quality does not come from quantity. All our Staffys are raised indoors & always around children,
Our goal is to always produce the best! While following the idea that the standard should be the main
focus, we also want the healthiest dogs possible.  All our puppies are vet checked, come  up to date
on vaccines and with a Veterinarian signed health certificate.  Our dogs are microchipped, in the
process of HC, L2-HGA and DNA testing.  I have been working in veterinary medicine since 2000
and am well aware of all the hereditary diseases that are linked to this breed.  Our dogs are all in
excellent health and Diesel will not be tested for HC or L2-HGA, the onset is 6 - 12 months, after his
litter in Spring of 2009, I am planning on having him neutered, Diesel has produced house pets to
champion dogs, he is a great stud dog and a good companion, you couldn't ask for a better staffy
weighing in at a solid 38 lbs. of pure muscle, we are only getting him neutered because hes 7 years
old and its much healthier for him as he ages, hes in great health and he will be around for a long
time to come.We do offer stud service to approved bitches, 2 other studs available, its a flat rate of
800.00 and full reg.  We have been breeding staffys since 2004 and prior to that we had bred pit
bulls for 9 years, a total of 13 years breeding experience! All our staffys are in great health and we
pride our selfs with that, (again research) you have to know the history of both dogs before you
breed them, we never had a false pregnancy , stillborn or any of our pups die there after. Our
average litter is 4-7 puppies. Michigan Saffys prides itself in producing some of the best puppies
around. We have sold dogs all across the United States, Canada and South America without any
complications, we know people have worries about shipping pets for the first time and will make this
a wonderful first time experience.  Our staffys are treated like our kids and we will never own
another breed.  We breed for temperament, healthy genetics & structure, but first and foremost our
dogs are bred as family companions. Although no kennel can claim to produce all Champion quality
puppies we believe all Staffys deserve quality homes.  These dogs are very intelligent and also
known for achieving a variety of task such as showing, therapy, obedience, and many more. On our
page you will find dogs that have not necessarily been shown but are Champions to us. In the eyes
of an owner his/her dog is better than any other in the world (and we wouldn't want it any other
way!) Here at Michigan Staffys we stay in touch with over 90% of people who have purchased a
dog from us.  And we love to see updated pictures of them at their new homes.  We also assist with
any questions or concerns that may occur in the future.  Our dogs are very important to us, if you
have purchased a puppy from us, you can call anytime day or night. Also all our dogs are AKC
standard all around, height, weight, etc.  We have purchased them from some of the best kennels
around.  Their pedigrees speak for themselves.  We believe to be the best in this state.  If you have
any questions or concerns, we can give references from previous families whom have purchased
puppies from us, and no other kennel that I am aware of will offer that to you.  Look over our
pedigrees and you will see that we are second to none.  Not to sound "cocky" just stating facts!  We
paid top dollar and have done plenty of research on where our dogs come from prior to purchasing
them.  There are a lot of politics in Staffys, especially when showing.  It's not necessarily  your dog
or you wouldn't be there (showing). It's pretty much, who you know, how your dressed and how
much ass you kiss along the way, that can sometimes determine whether your dog becomes a
Champion or not. I have seen dogs at shows that have no business being there and still placed (BIG
PROBLEM) come on Judges step up and go on standard and stop talking to the Lady our Guy you
saw at  the last show (EVERY SHOW).  We sometimes get emails from other kennels that are upset
and ask why we sell our dogs for the price we do (it's easy) not everyone can afford to pay $2000
and get some ridiculous contract to go along with it.  We do not co-own any dogs nor do we plan to,
it only creates problems in the future.  We believe that everyone should be able to experience a
staffy at some point in their lives, all our dogs get great homes and we don't just sell them to anyone.
I'm gonna say what most kennels wont, everyone that we have experienced will say something bad
about another breeder but then say "don't say you heard it from me".  We don't want any part of
that!!  The Staffy world is small and very particular in who they sell their dogs to, we really don't
want to be part of all the politics and trash talk, we just truly enjoy the breed and AGAIN our
pedigrees speak for themselves. From Champions to imports you really can't find much better.  I
would like to thank some of the wonderful kennels that have our dogs names attached to, they have
all been terrific.  I thought I would share some things that lots of kennels claim but in reality do not
do.  They talk a good game, but rarely deliver.  If you fall on some bad times and are no longer able
to care for your Staffy, we will always take the dog back and give you a puppy out of a future
breeding, but shipping will be at your cost.  So we recommend you do your research before buying a
staffy, call and talk to people and see what they are willing to offer, guarantee or back.   I will give
you a perfect example of what I am talking about.  My daughter is 14, when she was 6 we put her in
Karate, and my husband knowing the art, was not impressed after  a year and a half of being at this
particular school.  We researched for the best school around and didn't care where it was, after 2
weeks I found what I was looking for.  A school that was ranked one of the top 100 in the
world.
And her instructor is the best, always defending his many titles.  Needless to say, my daughter
wanted to quit.  After we discussed it, he understood and let her drop out.  Now many years later,
she was once again interested in the art...with no hesitation we went and talked to her instructor
Master Sam Kas-Mikha and to my surprise he remembered us and my daughter by first name.  The
moral of the story is simple, when our daughter was ready we knew where to go because we had
done our research and to no surprise found out he had defended his title of world champion in 2007.
My daughter is still there.  You can check him out at

Here at Michigan Staffys we have had many repeat families buying our puppies and MANY referrals
due to our reputation and relationship we keep.  Michigan Staffys is here to stay!!! A Staffordshire
Bull Terrier is not for everyone.  I would recommend if you are considering this breed that you do
some research to find if this breed is right for you.
